Dear Parents,

Some amazing news:

Christopher Taran – (Year 1) Chris started working with me around the summer time. His parents were very concerned as he had issues with attention and focus and was unable to stay at school for more than half a day. He also had Speech and Language sessions at school. Christopher has made fantastic progress working with our sound training programme and the school have decided that he no longer needs to have additional tuition.  Christopher is able to stay all day at school and recently he was nominated for an end of term Star Award for progress. Well Done Christopher!!

Winner of the Week

Dear Parents,
I am so proud of all the children that work with me but this week in particular with Tio and Dara.

Tio (reception) – Tio was hardly able to recognise the phonics, he struggled with his focus and attention and everything was a hard work for him. Within a few weeks on the movement programme, Tio made fantastic progress and started to recognise his phonics. Well Done Tio!!

This what their mother, Pam had to say:
Tio: My letter recognition and phonics have improved tremendously and I am well on the way to start my reading. My attention and articulation has also improved by doing all my exercises that Flo sets out for me each week. I am really happy with my improvement.

Dara (Year 3) – Dara struggled with her attention and focus but with constant practice of the movement programme she has made progress and school recognised her progress. Well Done Dara!!
This is what Pam had to say;
Dara: I got 7 house points for doing well in maths and I got another 2 house points for my general homework. I was very happy.House points are given when you work exceptionally hard☺

Fantastic news, keep up the hard work and you could be next weeks winner.

Dear Parents,

I have some fantastic news to share with you:

Fenner Brockway (Year4) – Fenner had a very bad squint in his right eye and the Optometrist suggested possibly operating.
He worked really hard, practicing the vision exercises daily and now I’m pleased to say,  he no longer needs the operation!
Well Done Fenner!!

Fenner’s mums testimonial:
‘We first met Florence in (March?) when she assessed my son Fenner. I had noticed that he had developed a squint in his right eye which was very noticeable and had mentioned it to a local optician who dismissed it out of hand. As soon as Florence met Fenner and performed eye tracking with him she noticed a problem. She recommended we visit a specialist opticians. The optician discovered that Fenner was extremely long sighted especially in his right eye and that his eye muscles were being over worked. I was told that he would most probably need an operation on his right eye as it was so bad. The optician recommended that Fenner start wearing glasses and he would review the situation in three months time. We continued with the eye exercises and Fenner wore his glasses at all times. Over the weeks I noticed that Fenner squint was starting to improve. We recently made a return visit to the opticians. We were delighted to learn that the squint is almost gone and Fenner no longer requires an operation to correct it. What wonderful news and all thanks to Florence and her eye exercises.
Olivia Brockway

Keep up the daily exercises!

Dear Parents,

Another Head Teachers Award….

Since the start of the academic year we’ve had 3 children receiving Head Teacher Awards.  I am so proud of Dilan, on receiving his award, he was featured in the school year magazine. Well Done Dilan!!

This is what his mother, Kamini wrote:
What an amazing term we are having. Dilan got his Head Teachers Award for from his Religious Studies Teacher as she was so happy with his presentation and effort. We had parents evening and Dilan’s Class Teacher said that even she has noticed how well presented and neat his work is.
Also to top things this weekend Dilan was also made Champion of the Week at Golf for his swing using a Driver.  We have noticed a big changing in Dilan’s posture and upper body strength due to you advice and help you have been giving us.
Thanks for all your support and helping us, even when things are difficult”

Keep up with the exercises and the sound training and see how your child can amaze you!!

Best regards

Florence
